A Day in Kongsberg – The Baroque Church

This week I was on a tour to Kongsberg by bus, first visiting the silver mine and museum, then listening to an organ concert in Kongsberg church.

This is a most unusual church, being long and narrow with the altar on the narrow side located beneath the organ. Internally, much timber with seating in areas designated to people by their class.

The Gloger-organ was built in 1765 and has been fully restored. It was quite an experience sitting there listening to the volumous music.
